Rick, what you write is so important. Everyone should read it, but won’t. Like so much of what is important, those who agree with it will read it and agree and those who don’t may read it and, in any case, will disagree. Often, those who don’t like to read this material and don;t read it, will still have an opinion about it being wrong.

I am often at a loss as to how to have people think and feel differently about attitudes you and I and others believe to be a better, more fulfilling, more ethical, more ‘humane’ way of behaving and of being in society.

I have written about this issue (medium.com/@DaanSpijer/vulva-581e2bc86956) and also in the voice of the receiver of such violence (medium.com/@DaanSpijer/dead-47af2081e691), but I often get push-back from those men who feel attacked for their ‘natural inclination’ to treat women and others in a particular way.

I guess that all we can do is to keep writing and hoping that each piece will make an incremental difference.
